L. Speciale was a Florentine tailors, housed in a small apartment on Via Pier Capponi. They made suits in the local style: a single-dart block, with short but generous masculine proportions.

After it’s founder Lettorio Speciale died, the house closed. Years later, his last makers - Lorenzo Albrighi and Mauro Fanfani - met a young British artist, George Marsh, and across 6 years in Milan, Florence, and the Tuscan countryside taught him his unique process.

When home, he decided to name his own shop in Speciale’s honour. Today we are located at no. 324 on the north end of the Portobello Road, in Notting Hill. We sell knits, shirts, socks, shoes, and all kinds of habadashery goods, and in the back of our shop, still make suits the Speciale way.
